splash screens or something...only time will tell.

DS Cards Template

This is a project template for use with a card

game.  This is where I started for my Bowling

Solitaire game and thought someone could use

a boost.

Thanks go out to the PA_Lib makers, and the

ones creating the devkit for nds and also the

one who made the card graphics.  All I did

was throw it together to make them do

something somewhat useful.

DS Character Names

This program gives Bible character name meanings

along with the Bible verse for the name.  The data

was from a page I got from a local Bible book store

which I typed in by hand.  All 769 of them!  I converted

it over to the Nintendo DS Using the PA_LIB library.

I have a screenshot and the roms.  It works although

I have no key up check so control is a little less to be

desired, but here is my first fully functional program

even though I have more work to do.

update:

I changed the way the buttons are read and now

it doesn't just zoom by all the names.  I could add

save functions now I guess...we'll see.

update:

7-31-06

Added sram save functions to keep the name you

last used.  Just press the A button to save the

current name to sram.

BreakDown

Breakout with a twist.  This game plays like

breakout where you use the ball and paddle to

break out blocks.  You get 5 balls to play to get

the highest score.  The catch is when you clear

out the bottom row,  the screen scrolls down

and adds a new row of blocks at the top for you

to finish playing.  As long as the bottom row is

clear, it will keep scrolling the blocks down until

it fills the bottom row with at least 1 block.

use the left and right arrow keys to move the

paddle.  Use the up arrow to launch the ball.

Use the down button to toggle whether the ball

launches to the right or left indicated by the

arrows on the paddle.  Use the HOME button

to exit the game.  I will be adding lots of

features and options and am interested in

hearing from you about suggestions or comments

about the game.  I have a beta version of the

program for the 89 and the 92+ will follow.

4-10-04

I added speed options to the game, a

larger paddle if desired and better paddle

control.  I guess now the fun starts.

Adding all the extras and fine tuning

the ball control and game play.

4-16-04

Spaced all the blocks out and changed

some other items to increase gameplay

but I'm kind of tired of playing this one

so it is off to play with another until

interest is returned.

Cards52

This is a header file for 52 cards from a card

deck using sprites for tigcc to be used in

a card game.  I have included the source

code to display all 52 cards on the screen

36 on the first screen and the rest on the

next.  Doesn't do any more than that but

you may be able to get started without

reinventing the wheel.

Ti Bowling Solitaire

This is a conversion of my palm program

of bowling solitaire.  I have a limited working

demo for the Ti that shuffles the deck and

displays them and the mouse works and allows

you to select the cards using the F1 key.

3-24-04

I now have a limited functioning version

that allows you to select up to 3 adjacent

cards and the ball card functions properly

also.  No throws available yet if you get

stuck.  You will need to exit and then run

the program again for another "game".

3-24-04

Working pretty good!

I have a somewhat fully functional version

now available.  It allows you to play up

to 12 frames, keeps high game score,

displays a running scoreboard, allows

for a diagonally moving mouse cursor.

I don't have much working in the help

section, so don't expect much, but it

is quite playable at this time.

I plan on adding ability to change the

speed of the mouse, display discarded

pile instead of score, and whatever else

I feel the program needs for options.

Feel free at this time to send in suggestions

or comments or even bug reports although

I may already know about them, but I'll

see what I can do.

3-26-04

I added support for using the backspace as

an undo button, the F4 key is now the

toggle between showing the scoreboard

for all 10 frames and showing the cards

that have been used (discarded pile).

The program is coming right along, but I

have more stuff to add and then I need to

make it all fancy for the ti92+ once all

the other stuff is done.

evening:  I now have the 89 part done?

Bug fixes and such maybe?  But I think it

is working just fine.  The 92+ shows

the score when showing the discard

pile.

3-28-04

I now have save game working so

you wont lose your place when

exiting and restarting program.

You can also make the game harder

by selecting tougher game which

makes it so the first ball card can't

select the middle card or the entire

back row.  I found this info on the

web, so I implemented it.

3-29-04

I think I'm pretty much done unless

I get some bug reports.  I added

beter support for the ti92+ so

it displays a graphical scoreboard

at the bottom of the screen while

playing.  The 89 needs to have the

apps button pressed in order to view

the graphical scoreboard do to the

smaller screen size.  I even display

the extra ball in the graphical version.

TiBinClock

This is the latest program I'm working on

which uses sprites for the clock display.

All I need now is to figure out how to

read the system time in tigcc and the program

will be on its way to being done.

updated:

4-5-04

Added the accurate 1 second timer I needed

to keep time.  Also added a splash screen

and ability to just enter the time in manually

at start up.

F1 is hold, F2-F4 is advance time

4-16-04

Added support to display time in digits.

Added ability to display or erase digits.

You can also rotate display of digits if

chosen.   F5 toggles display from

vertical to horizontal and back.  Mode

button will clear/erase numeral digits.

used with sword drills.  Pick only New Testament

or only Old Testament or both to get a random

Bible reference.  Use the F1 key for program help

It displays a number for a given amount of

time which is adjustable by the user and also

allows the user to adjust the number of digits

displayed from 1 to 5 digits.  The program

keeps track of the number of correct and

incorrect answers given.  Pressing the clear

Books of the Bible for Gameboy Advance

Books of the Bible for Gameboy Advance was

converted from my gameboy version with a

bunch of modifications to it so it would work.

I started out with a program from my xport

directory and converted it over to my  Bible

program to become familiar with the gba

syntax.  I compiled it with the xport version

of the arm gcc compiler.  I'm not done with

the program yet, but I have included the

source in the zip file for those interested.

Books of the Bible for Mophun

Books of the Bible for Mophun enabled cell phones is my usual

program written especially for the new phones.  I played around

with the free sdk and found it to be very similar to directX

programming in Windows.  I like to play around with different sdk's

and this was the next one in line I guess.  You can download the

sdk from their site if interested in C programming for cell phones.

I have included the program and some screenshots.  This is only

a beta version, but it seems to work fine on the emulator, even

though the font is too small for my liking, so I guess I got some

more programming to do sometime.

Books of the Bible for Linux

This is the beginning of the Linux version of Books of the Bible for Windows.

I hope to have it just as functional as windows, but I'll have to see what I

can get figured out.

I am writing the program with KDevelop version 1.4 using SuSE Linux

version 7.2 so far.  I haven't tried compiling it on any other distro. or

version.  Please let me know if you get it to compile for you.  The

tar file has a precompiled version that was compiled on my machine.

So if you have KDE 2.1.1 and QT 2.3.0 it should run.

Books of the Bible for Ti

Update!

This program was a winner/(runner up) on the Ti app

development contest run by ti.com.  It can also be

found on the ticalc.org cd which will be distributed with

the ti graph link cables.

This program will take you through the 66 books

of the Bible in order.  Use 'F5' for a hint, 'up' arrow

to increase book guess number by 1, 'down' arrow

to decrease book guess number by 1, 'right' arrow

to increase book guess number by 8, 'left' arrow to

decrease book guess number by 8, 'enter' button to

check your answer or use 'F1' to check it.  Use the

'Clear' button to show the controls to use the program.

I have added F1/F2 keys to decrease/increase the

number of books that are skipped from 1 to 8 instead

of the standard 8 when using the right/left buttons to

find your guess.

I now have a working copy for the ti92plus which is

the same as the ti89 version.

This version now supports 3 guesses and a little

bit of score keeping.  It tells you how many you got

right, and the guess count you're on.  I have also

added the feature to roll over the books when you

get to the end, so if you are at the start (Acts) and

press the down button, you will end up at the last

book (Zeph).  And the same goes for the left/right

buttons.  The program is about 1k smaller now.

It is slightly bigger than 7.3k
